Workshops
Workshops are designed to enable participants to explore the beauty of Eastern European singing. The unique vocal qualities, histories and cultural connections of the songs will be discovered as participants delve into the music.
Workshop participants will:
- explore the unique vocal qualities associated with Eastern European singing
- learn the fundamentals of singing grace notes and ornaments
-understand how to blend and tone voices to create a cohesive sound
- acquire knowledge of the cultural histories of the regions from which the songs emerge
- learn the rules that govern each region's language pronunciation
- experience the joy and satisfaction generated from creating msic with others
Workshop Requirements
- a large room with adequate seating for all participants and instructors
- a CD/DVD player
- a dry erase board and markers
- bottled water
